The CoursePlanner is a planning tool for the courses you wish to attend at Utrecht University. The CoursePlanner can be used in several ways: to look for electives, to get an overview of the courses of your programme and to combine information. After you have selected your programme(s) or one or more (sub)theme(s) under Electives per theme you will get a list of courses that comply with the chosen programme or themes. By clicking on a course you'll get additional information of the course, such as its content, faculty, and period. You will also see a direct link to the registration page in Osiris. All information shown here is based on data from Osiris. The CoursePlanner also shows which exam component (mandatory, choice discipline, choice context, other or not allowed) applies to your study programme.
By clicking on for a particular course, you can put it in your backpack, so that it is available throughout the CoursePlanner.
Are you looking for an interesting elective course for your optional course profile? Select at least one theme or subtheme under Electives per theme. You can search by topic, education style or competence. The CoursePlanner will then give you a University-wide overview of the different electives with these themes and subthemes.
Do you want to know whether certain electives will fit into your programme and schedule? Click on 'Change selection' and select your faculty and programme(s) under Exam programmes. It’s possible to select multiple study programmes by using the "Add study" button. You can add up to 3 additional programmes next to your current programme. All courses of these selected programmes will then be displayed in the list.
To search more quickly, use one of the filter options on the left side of the page.
Furthermore, it is possible to navigate directly to an exam program using the link in the browser bar. To do this, you need to use the following link, https://cursusplanner.uu.nl/study/{exam program}. The part {exam program} should be replaced with the code of your program. This is also possible if you want to navigate directly to a course, for which you use the following link https://cursusplanner.uu.nl/course/{course code}. The part {course code} should be replaced with the code of your course.
Log in only: When using the CoursePlanner for the first time you can select your programme(s) or desired (sub)themes under Electives per theme. The next time you log in, your previous choices will automatically be displayed. This option can be adjusted in "Preferences".
Here you can see an overview of the courses you selected.
Log in only: Once you're logged in, you'll see personal information. You can email your selection to yourself, so that you can use this to email your tutor or fellow student.
This page will display the schedule of the courses in your backpack. The meetings are grouped by week with a schematic overview of the week on the right. Red periods in the weekly schedule indicate overlapping classes. To prevent overlap, you may want to change to another group. You can choose a group number on the left side of the page. You can also show and hide courses to see which course fits into your schedule best.
Log in only: In addition to the courses in your backpack, you also see the courses in which you are enrolled. In addition, you can create a personal iCal link to synchronize your digital calendar.
Log in only: On the page "My planning" you can draw up a long-term planning. Courses that you've already completed are automatically filled in. Courses in your backpack can be dragged into your planning. Note: even though you can drag courses in any period you choose, this does not entail that the particular course is also available in that period.
The goal of the CoursePlanner is to help students compose their curriculum. The CoursePlanner allows students to search for courses.
The CoursePlanner is developed with funds from the Utrechts Education Stimulation fund 2013 which was allocated by the Board of Studies of the Undergraduate School of the Faculty of Science.
